Craftsmanship

Our rocking horses are made individually by hand using traditional techniques, and each horse represents several hundred hours of careful craftsmanship. The body is carved from wood and finished in gesso, painted and varnished; the sturdy base is made from ash, with brass and steel fittings. Genuine horse hair is used for the mane and tail, and the saddle and tack are made from real leather and brass.
